Ute Conference Football Officials – Veteran Officials –New Adult Officials – Youth Officials

All adult officials should register with UHSSA. Registration provides the tools to become a “Certified High School Official” with training, testing, and WFFOA affiliation through the local chapters. Registration with UHSAA includes background checks and insurance through NFHS and NASO. (National Federation of High Schools and National Association of Sports Officials) This is required regardless of working high school games as a varsity or sub-varsity official.

Certified officials are required to be used in Ute Conference games per the conference bylaws.

New and Youth officials Registration in the Ute Conference:

August 13,2011 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM Murray High School

All games will be assigned on an individual bases through the arbiter. Individuals will be grouped into requested crews but ALL officials must accept their games or they will be removed from the game assignment and will be required to pay a re-instatement fee to receive future games.

Games must be accepted by Wednesday of that week’s games. Use the Blocked dates feature in the Arbiter if you are unable to accept andwork games that week. Two turn backs will result in suspension and no chance to work playoffs.

Ute Conference Officials Clinic – August 20th,2011 – Murray High School

10:00 AM Crew Chiefs Meeting – Training

11:00 AM All Officials Rules Clinic –New Rules - High School and Ute Conference Rules

12:00 PM Break Out Training &Information-Veteran-New Officials–Youth Officials

1:00 PM Field Position Training – Four 20Minute Breakout Rotating Sessions

Referee –Umpire – Wing – Kicking Game

Each position instructed by UHSAA& College Playoff Officials

Training game assignment with veteran officials will takeplace August 27th during the pre- season games. Officials attendingthe clinic will receive first priority for game assignments.

Season starts September 3rd

Veteran Officials: The Ute Conference Officials Council is asking all veteran officials to look at old, not being used uniforms, shirts, hats, equipment and donate them to the Ute Conference Officials Group to assist new officials in getting properly attired. Any questions see Cory Plant.
